JREHK Editorial Policy | How We Build Policy and Teaching Content
How JREHK researches policy and Legislative Council material, separates fact from analysis, updates teaching content and handles corrections.
Last updated: 27 July 2026
01 Sources
We prioritise Hong Kong Government, Legislative Council and statutory-body materials, supported by accountable news organisations. Issue notes retain a source and a research date wherever practical.
02 Fact and analysis
Dates, figures and institutional arrangements are treated as verifiable facts. Policy effects, causal mechanisms and recommendations are analysis; we do not present them as settled facts.
03 Teaching standard
Worked examples frame the real decision, show a causal chain, compare stakeholders, test legal and resource constraints, and end with executable safeguards, indicators or exit conditions.
04 Corrections and limits
We update material when official facts or laws change and correct reported errors. JREHK is an independent preparation platform and is not affiliated with the Hong Kong Government, the Civil Service Bureau or the Legislative Council.
